YOU IS ME is a unique Online-Platform and Search Engine for Solidarity Projects and Development Aid worldwide. The YIM-worldmap provides overview and searches by geographical location, by names of Project Organisers and Projects, by themes and by members.

YOU IS ME makes an active contribution, relieving specific needs and suffering by making Solidarity Projects known and accessible for everyone. A worldwide network for Solidarity will exist to motivate people from all continents to "good deeds" and social engagement.

Whether an aid Organization, company or individual, at YOU IS ME everyone can take part. Through registration, you become YIM-member - free of charge. As a YIM-member, you can make contacts, comment, present or recommend projects - all free of charge! During the term (12 months), projects can be updated at anytime for free. Before the 12 months expire, you will receive a mail reminder from us and can freely decide whether you would like to extend the project or not.

YOU IS ME helps to publicize Solidarity Projects and Development Aid, and shows whereabouts in the world possibilities for support exist. The use of the YIM-plattform and search- engine is for all webusers free of charge and simplifies the search for suitable projects. YOU IS ME encourages to direct aid.

YIM-Members can present or recommend their project by using our masks and fill in textinformations, add photos, logo and support-possibilities. They decide which photo or logo should be displayed on the YIM-worldmap. Textinformation and remaining photos will be visible for all web-user by clicking on "project".

In case of natural disasters and emergencies, the Solidarity-Pool provides emergency assistance. Also for other purposes, which are directly related to aid- and development-projects, the Solidarity-Pool can be used. Everyone can support the Solidarity-Pool and create at the same time the YIM-picture. The uploaded logo or photo of the supporter remains visible for one year on the YIM-picture and the carousel of (almost) each youisme-page.

With a valid E-Mail address you can register on our YOU IS ME-Website. A corresponding mask will then be made available to you. You create a password, which gives you access to the YIM-World for Solidarity. As a member you can make contacts, comment, present or recommand projects free of charge. Or - for a fee - create the YIM-worldpicture.<//span>

Membership is free, just like all YIM-services. Everyone can become YIM-member and enjoy the benefits of membership. The YIM-platform for solidarity is constantly upgraded and expanded with the aim to reach even more people around the world and motivate them to more "good deeds".

For members and web visitors all details relevant to the project are displayed. From the profile, which each member compiles in order to present a Project, the name and country of residence as well as the valid e-mail address are on view.

The General Terms and Conditions (AGB) regulate both the accountability of YOU IS ME and its members. Should a member violate the General Terms and Conditions (AGB) or criminally abuse them, YOU IS ME can undertake legal steps and make demands for the restitution of damages incurred. In cases of abuse, the false data on the website will be deleted, the membership cancelled and the member banned for ever.

For the youisme-Team, all movements on the plattform are immediately visible, which helps the security and works agains abuse. Furthermore we regulary do spotchecks too. Everyone can help prevent abuse by informing YOU IS ME about suspicious project. Such reports are immediately scrutinized. Abuse and offences will be punished by law, according to the General Terms and Conditions of YOU IS ME.

Initiator for YOU IS ME is the Swiss Film maker Irene Marty. With her social-political films she has set much in motion worldwide. Since her involvement with Human Rights in Burma, she is continually being contacted by people who would like to help refugees and support a project, but don’t know where and how to go about it. This was her inspiration for YOU IS ME.

YOU IS ME does not accept donations. These flow directly from the donator to the project ooperator (organization, NGO;NPO). All YIM-services are free of charge. Only for creating the YIM-worldpicture, there is a fee. This money is used for emergency relief in case of natural disaster and other emergencies, and can also be used for further purposes directly related to projects.
